Tournament of minds

On Saturday the 6th of September 19 students from three groups selected from our school travelled into Lower Hutt to Hutt intermediate to compete in the NZ Tournament of Minds. The groups were as follows

Kapanui 2 team worked on the long term challenge for six weeks and came up with the idea of a shopping band where you just take your item and leave. There was also a spontaneous challenge that had a picture of what I thought looked like a film projector crossed with a camera. We had to write in 25 words what we thought it was for why it is so important and why it needs to be preserved.

Later on at prize giving it was delayed 45 minutes ....
Then came the applied technology prize giving . The lady said and the winners are ... Kapanui 2!!!

Since we won we are going to Melbourne to compete in the Australasia Pacific finals
